VP of Human Resources Full Time

Our client, a sports and entertainment company in NYC, is seeking a Vice President of Human Resources to joint their team. In this newly created role, this person will be responsible for working with senior leadership to understand, meet and exceed business goals, developing and recommending new approaches, implementing policies and procedures and much more. The ideal candidate should be motivated, driven, and entrepreneurial in nature, along with having at lest eight years of human resources experience.

Requirements

  • Work alongside senior leadership to meet business needs
  • Liaise effectively with multiple executives
  • Build and implement new policies and procedures
  • Effectively improve the working environment by bringing creative and innovative ideas
  • Develop performance improvement plans
  • Counsel and coach management
  • Oversee recruitment strategies
  • Appropriately resolve employee relations matters
  • Oversee on-boarding efforts
  • Maintain compliant with state and federal regulations

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must have at least 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors degree required, higher education is preferred
  • Comfortable in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to build relationships
  • Competence of various HR areas
  • Resourceful and creative mindset
  • Experience with HRIS system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
