Our Client is currently seeking a talented front office support individual with a solid background supporting a broad suite of FX trading applications. The individual will join the existing APS eSolutions FX eTrading Support team in New York, which is part of a 4 strong global APS eSolutions FX eTrading support team (London, Singapore, Mumbai and New York). We work closely with FX Traders, Sales and Middle Office personnel locally and alongside a global development team.
This is a Team Leader position.
FX Trading systems used in the Americas (irrespective of where infrastructure is)
FX users (Marketers, Traders, Middle Office)
Automated trading systems
Drives and coordinate the continuity of service of all FX trading systems
Quick return to normal service in case of production incident
Follow up on actions after incidents
Manage Week end releases and checks
System checks Application Monitoring Configuration, Change, Release management in coordination with Release Manager
Bachelor or Master degree in a numerate subject (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics etc) required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Electronic Trading IT Application Support.
Minimum required qualifications
Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
Very good verbal and written communication skills.
Motivated to work under own initiative whilst being a team player.
Strong knowledge of the FX business and electronic markets.
Strong knowledge of SQL (SQL Server and Oracle).
Strong knowledge of Excel/VBA.
Knowledge of Networks, Market Data and Messaging technologies (FIX, TCP/IP, TIBRV, MQ Series).
Knowledge of scripting languages beneficial
